- 1 large acorn squash, sliced into 1” thick rings
- 3 tablespoons butter
- CanCooker Garlic Butter Seasoning
- 12 oz Mountain Dew
Butter Honey Sauce
- ¾ stick of butter
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Put racks into CanCooker and spray inside of cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Add Mountain Dew. Layer squash rings on top of rack; sprinkle CanCooker Garlic Butter Seasoning, salt and pepper on top, then add the butter.
Close lid and latch. Heat on medium to low and steam for 20 minutes.
Melt ¾ stick of butter in a saucepan. Add honey and brown sugar. Mix well for 1 minute.
Put the squash on a serving dish and pour the butter honey sauce on top and serve.
So my husband loves squash but he knows I don't eat it, and yesterday he came home with this recipe and decided to cook it up. to my surprise, it was actually SO GOOD!! only took less than an hour to make the whole meal too, so I am now a squash fan!
