- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp CanCooker all purpose seasoning
- 24 oz. beef broth
- 24 (1/2" cubes) sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 bottle BBQ sauce
- Garnishes: Dill pickle slices, red onion slices, cheddar cheese chunks
In a large bowl combine ground beef, bacon, bread crumbs, onion, egg, honey and all purpose seasoning. Mix ingredients together, make a small patty, and place a cube of cheese in the middle. Form the patty around the cheese to make a round ball. Place the 2- piece rack in the bottom of the CanCooker and add 24 oz. of beef broth. Place the balls on the rack, close the lid and steam on medium heat for 20-25 minutes. Let rest in the CanCooker for 5 minutes. Remove meatballs, insert toothpicks and dunk the meatballs in BBQ sauce.
Garnish with your choice of pickles, onions and cheddar cheese chunks.
These were great meatballs!! I used ground moose, but followed everything else exactly. I also made up a batch and froze them for future use.

We cooked these up on the sandbar for all of our friends and they were a hit! We made them up ahead of time and cooked them up using the Junior and Multi Fuel burner. So easy and delicious!
