- 1 (16 oz) bag dried black-eyed peas
- 1 small ham hock
- 1 (14 1⁄2 oz) can zesty jalapeno pepper diced tomato
- 1 (14 1⁄2 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 2 (10 1⁄2 oz) cans chicken broth
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
Pre-soak black-eyed peas according to the instructions on the bag. Combine all ingredients and steam on a low to medium heat for 60 minutes.
Remember to eat black-eyed peas for luck on New Years Day!
