- 1 package (16 oz) rigatoni
- 1 lb ground mild Italian-sausage
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 lb sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp CanCooker Original Seasoning Salt
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- Minced fresh parsley, optional
- CanCooker Strainer Lid
Add 6 cups of water to the non-stick CanCooker JR or Companion and place on medium heat until steaming, slowly add rigatoni to the CanCooker. Cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes until rigatoni is fully cooked, or desired tenderness.
Drain water with the CanCooker Strainer Lid and set rigatoni aside in bowl.
In the CanCooker, cook Italian-sausage over medium low heat 6-8 minutes, break into crumbles. When sausage is fully cooked; add butter, mushrooms, garlic & CanCooker Original Seasoning Salt, stirring occasionally for about 4-6 minutes; covered with lid.
Stir in cream; cover with lid and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove lid and let simmer for another 10-20 minutes until mixture is slightly thickened.
Serve mixture over rigatoni and sprinkle with parsley.
