History of the CanCooker

When Seth was a boy, he helped brand cattle on his grandparent’s ranch. A round up is hard work – you start at dawn and by lunchtime you’ve built up quite an appetite. In eastern Nebraska, you fill a cream can with ingredients, put it on the fire and get all the cows and calves branded and vaccinated.

After the work is done, its time crack open the cream can for a hot, hearty, homemade meal – cooked to perfection while you worked.

As an adult, Seth tried to recreate the cream can cooking technique – but the cream cans available today are not up to the task. So it was time to come up with a new and improved design that was safe, durable, easy to use and easy to clean. After a several attempts and many modifications the CanCooker was born.

Introduced in 2009, CanCooker is a unique cooking device that allows you to cook a lot of food without a lot of work. CanCooker makes a complete meal in about one hour and can work on any heat source – stovetops, grills, turkey fryers, camp stoves, campfires and the Multi-Fuel Portable Cooktop.
