- 2.5 lbs jumbo peanuts, in the shell
- 1/4 cup salt
Wash peanuts and soak in plain water for 1 hour. Place peanuts in the CanCooker.
Dilute salt in a quart of warm water and add slowly to the CanCooker. Fill the CanCooker with water to reach a level of two inches above the peanuts.
Latch lid and cook on medium heat until steam rises from port. Turn heat down to low medium.
Carefully check water levels at 2 hours and add more water if needed. Use oven mitts to open lid as lid handle can be hot.
Cooking time will be about 6-7 hours. Peanuts come out awesome.
