Buttermilk Cornbread

Buttermilk Cornbread

Prep Time - 10 minutes
Cook Time - 30 minutes


  • ½ cup Melted Butter
  • cup White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt


  • In a mixing bowl combine all the ingredients and mix well.
    Grease miniature loaf pans or spring form pans and pour batter into pans approximately 2/3 full.
    Place rack in the bottom of the CanCooker and add water to the top of the rack.  Place 2 pans of batter on top of the rack.  Put lid on and steam for 30 minutes. 
    Remove and let cool.  
    Serve warm with butter and honey.


  • Best corn bread ever – drizzled mine in honey when they were done and BOY were they GOOD! i have to make these for every party now

  • Pretty good – I accidentally lost track of time when baking these so I pulled them out a little late. They were still full of flavor and melted in your mouth with the honey on top
