Chicken with Garlic Parmesan Rice

Prep Time - 5 minutes
Cook Time - 40 minutes


  • 1.5 pounds Chicken Tenders
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ cup Butter
  • 2 tsbp Minced Garlic
  • ¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp Salt Divided
  • ½ cup Dry White Wine
  • cup Uncooked White Rice
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese


  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat oil on medium in a non-stick CanCooker and sauté chicken tenders until cooked through. Set aside.
    Add butter, minced garlic, red pepper and 1/2 tsp salt in the CanCooker sauté. Stir in white wine, cook for 5 minutes. Remove 3 Tbsp of sauce and set aside.
    Stir in rice, chicken broth, and the remaining salt.
    Bring to a boil, cover, and cook for 20 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Drizzle reserved sauce over chicken.
    Serve and enjoy!


  • Quick and easy – First time using my new CanCooker Companion. Chicken was good, nothing special. But the rice was out of this world! I have trouble getting rice to cook properly but this came out perfectly!

  • Best rice ever – Have to agree with the first review that the chicken was good but nothing too special. The rice, however, is the best I have ever made and comes out perfectly cooked. Can Cooker why do I doubt you?
