Country Ribs & Dumplings

Country Ribs & Dumplings

Prep Time - 15 minutes
Cook Time - 1 hour


  • 6 pounds Boneless Country Ribs
  • 5 14 oz Cans Sauerkraut
  • 12 ounces Beer
  • ¼ tsp Garlic
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Caraway Seeds


  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 ½ cups Flour
  • 1 ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder


  • Insert the 2-piece racks and spray the inside of the CanCooker with non-stick cooking spray. Add the pork ribs, then add the sauerkraut and seasoning. Pour the beer on top.
    Close lid and latch, put on a medium / low heat. Cook for 35 minutes.  Remove from heat and let cool for several minutes. Remove ribs and keep warm while you prepare the dumplings.
    Dumplings: Mix together all the dumpling ingredients. Grease a mini loaf pan with non-stick spray and fill 2/3 full of batter. Add enough water to the CanCooker to reach the bottom of the rack. Place the loaf pan on the rack.  Latch lid and put on a medium / low heat. Cook for 30 minutes. Let the dumplings cool and cut into slices and serve with your favorite gravy.
