For use with any CanCooker

Creamy Chicken with Mushrooms


  • 4 small boneless, skinless chicken breasts pound to 1/2" thickness
  • 1 tsp CanCooker Onion Pepper Seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil divided
  • 10 oz button mushrooms trimmed & thinly sliced
  • 2 shallots thinly sliced
  • 4 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • fresh parsley leaves for garnish optional


  • Season chicken breasts with CanCooker Onion Pepper Seasoning and salt.  On a medium-to-medium low heat source add in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.  Remove the chicken and transfer to a plate.
  • Add mushrooms to the CanCooker and cook until beginning to brown, about 5-7 minutes. Add shallots and remaining olive oil. Cook until translucent, 1-2 minutes. Stir in mustard, broth and noodles. Cover and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Stir in heavy whipping cream. Stirring occasionally cook until noodles are tender and the sauce has thickened. 
  • Return chicken to the CanCooker and cook through. Serve,sprinkled with parsley.


  • In the ingredients portion of the recipe, the noodles are not listed. Just an observation and not a gripe!
