For use with any CanCooker

Creamy Orzo


  • 1 lb orzo pasta
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup pesto
  • 3 tbsp minced fresh parsley


  • Add 4 cups of water to any non-stick CanCooker and place on medium heat until steaming, slowly add orzo pasta to the CanCooker. Cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes until pasta is fully cooked, or desired tenderness. The orzo should absorb all the liquid. If any liquid remains, drain with the CanCooker strainer lid.
  • Stir in butter, cream and season with salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add Parmesan cheese and pesto and cook 5 minutes until thickened.  Sprinkle with parsley.
