Guinness Beef Chili


  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 11.2- ounce bottle Guinness Draught
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup yellow onion diced
  • 15 oz can red kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 15 oz can cannellini beans drained and rinsed
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp ground cumin
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Optional Toppings

  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheese
  • Red onions – diced
  • Jalapeños
  • Green onions - diced


  • In any CanCooker on a medium-to-medium low heat source add olive oil and onion and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef and garlic and cook until the meat is no longer pink.
  • Stir in the cumin, chili powder, beans and tomatoes.
  • Pour in the Guiness and brown sugar, stir to combine.
  • Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  • Serve garnished with sour cream, shredded cheese, red onions, jalapenos, and green onions.
