Salisbury Steak

Salisbury Steak

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ tbsp Ground Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Minced
  • ½ tbsp CanCooker Onion Pepper Seasoning
  • ½ tbsp CanCooker All Purpose Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 White Onion Sliced
  • 16 ounces Mushrooms Sliced
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 3 cups Chicken Stock
  • 3 tbsp Butter


  • In a large bowl combine hamburger, eggs, panko bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard, minced garlic, CanCooker Onion Pepper and All Purpose Seasoning until well blended. Divide mixture into four even parts and form into an oval shape. In any Non-Stick CanCooker on a medium low heat; heat oil and place hamburger patties into the CanCooker. Cook for 8 minutes, flip patties and cook 8 minutes or until browned on both sides. Once patties are cooked remove from the CanCooker and set aside. Add butter, onions and mushrooms and sauté until onions are translucent.  Add flour to vegetables until well coated. Pour in chicken stock and simmer for 5 minutes. Place hamburger patties back into the CanCooker, secure the lid and simmer for 25 minutes. Remove lid and let simmer an additional 5 minutes to let the gravy thicken. Remove gravy and hamburger patties from the CanCooker and serve immediately.
