- Wild turkey legs and thighs (score thighs with a knife)
- 1 Tbsp dried Italian herbs
- 1 Tbsp CanCooker All Purpose Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp Original CanCooker Seasoning
- 16-20 oz water
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 2 bay leafs
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup wild rice
- 1 cup white rice
Place the 2-piece stainless steel rack on bottom of the CanCooker and add the turkey legs and thighs. Add spices (you can add more spices if desired). Add the 16-20 oz water. Cover and latch the CanCooker. Place on low to low/medium heat and cook 40-60 min.
Remove the turkey legs and thighs and save the broth in the CanCooker. Remove the 2-piece stainless steel rack from the CanCooker.
Cut turkey meat off the bone and cut into cubes. Add the turkey, celery, carrots, onion and bay leaves to the broth. Add 4 cups water and the wild and white rice.
Cover and latch the CanCooker. Place back on heat and simmer on low for 40 minutes. Remove from heat using oven mitts and let cool for 5 min. Enjoy!
