- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 lbs cubed beef stew
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 .75 oz packet onion soup mix
- 1 10.5 oz can French onion soup
Add oil to the CanCooker and heat over medium-low heat. Saute the onion until almost translucent.
Add the stew meat and cook on medium heat until meat is browned on all sides.
Add water, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce to the CanCooker. Stir in garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cover and bring to a boil and turn off heat. Let stand for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile combine the onion soup mix with the French onion soup. Mix thoroughly and stir into the meat mixture. Bring to a boil stirring frequently until slightly thickened.
