Bridgett’s Apple Cinnamon Bread

  • 2 ½ cups sweetened applesauce
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs – slightly beaten
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 medium apple – chopped
  • 4 Mini loaf pans


Whisk cake mix, flour, and cinnamon together in a large bowl until well blended. Add eggs and applesauce to the mixture and stir until the batter is fully mixed with no lumps. Add apples to the batter and gently fold in. Spray the loaf pans with baking spray. In any CanCooker add 12 ounces of water and place two-piece rack in the bottom of the CanCooker. Fill two loaf pans ¾ full and place onto the rack. Place lid on CanCooker. Steam the bread on a medium low heat for 30 minutes. Remove bread from the CanCooker and repeat with the remaining two pans. Let bread rest for five minutes to cool.

    Love apples and cinnamon, this is well blended of them both.
