Chicken with Garlic Parmesan Rice

  • 1.5 lbs. chicken tenders
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp salt, divided
  • 1/2 c dry white wine
  • 1 1/2 uncooked white rice
  • 3 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 c Parmesan cheese


Season chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat oil on medium in a non-stick CanCooker and sauté chicken tenders until cooked through. Set aside.

Add butter, minced garlic, red pepper and 1/2 tsp salt in the CanCooker sauté. Stir in white wine, cook for 5 minutes. Remove 3 Tbsp of sauce and set aside.

Stir in rice, chicken broth, and the remaining salt.

Bring to a boil, cover, and cook for 20 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Drizzle reserved sauce over chicken.

Serve and enjoy!

    First time using my new CanCooker Companion. Chicken was good, nothing special. But the rice was out of this world! I have trouble getting rice to cook properly but this came out perfectly!
