French Dip Sandwich

French Dip Sandwich

Prep Time - 15 minutes
Cook Time - 30 minutes

  • 3 pounds Chuck Roast
  • 1 (10 ¾ oz) can French Onion Soup
  • 1 (10 ¾ oz) can Beef Consommé
  • 1 (10 ¾ oz) can Condensed Beef Broth
  • 1 tsp Beef Bouillon Granules
  • 8-10 Hoagie Rolls
  • 8-10 slices Swiss Cheese

  • Combine canned soups with bouillon granules, do not dilute soups.
Place the 2-piece stainless steel rack on bottom of the CanCooker and add the liquid mixture. Cut the chuck roast in half and place on top of the rack.
Latch lid and cook on low to medium heat. Steam for 25-30 minutes.
Remove meat and shred with forks. Pile meat on rolls and add Swiss cheese. Serve juice as dipping sauce on the side.
These sandwiches are deliciously flavored with rich au jus for dipping!

  • French Dip Sandwich – Took longer to cook so had to add more broth, be sure to trim ALL visable fat from meat before cooking. Au ju was very greasy, so let it cool and remove the fat. Very tasty and will do it again
