Thanksgiving Turkey

Prep Time - 15 minutes
Cook Time - 1 hour 30 minutes

  • 1 Turkey
  • can Chicken Broth 14.5 oz cans
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 Lemon
  • 2 Celery Stalks

  • To prepare your turkey cut the legs off at the thighs and leave the breast whole.
Separate the back from the breast and place the back at the bottom of the can along with the giblets and tail piece to use as a bridge.
The breast and wings fit through the top a little tight but once inside keep centered and off the bottom by placing it on the back piece.
The leg pieces fit snugly along each side.
Add 1 1/2 14.5 oz cans of chicken broth, 1 chopped onion, 1 stick of butter, 2 lemon slices and a couple celery stalks.
Inject the bird and add a seasoning rub before placing it in the can.
Close and latch lid.  Cook for approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours depending on size of turkey.
Continue to check your turkey pop up timer.
The turkey will be incredibly moist and the juices are perfect for making gravy!
Note: You can increase or decrease the amount of ingredients in this recipe but please make sure to use at least 12 oz. of liquid.

  • This recipe – I only have the smaller cancooker, so I just bought a breast for this recipe, but it was by far the best turkey i have ever had. I will make this year round not just for thanksgiving. Makes it so easy.

  • Best Turkey EVER! – First time using this recipe. We had a 14lb turkey and fit without any problems. Followed recipe and cooked for 1hr35min and the meat was falling off the bone! Definitely recommend and will be doing in the future! Original CanCooker can hold a way bigger turkey without any problems!
